Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations.
Teachers are permitted to use Scratch and create accounts for students; however, we must adhere to the naming conventions and expectations listed below.
Do not use a student's first name combined with their last name or initial (e.g., JDoe) as this is considered Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
You may use either a student's first name or last name alone, but not both together.
Alternatively, you can assign students identifiers such as colors (e.g., "Blue") or animals (e.g., "Bear").
Teachers must delete all student accounts at the end of each school year, as these accounts cannot be transferred to a different teacher or grade level.
