The 2026-2027 Unit Frameworks and Pacing Guides have been updated and uploaded to Grades K-8, HS Civics (Government/ISS/Citizenship), World History, and US History. They will be uploaded to the FCPS Social Studies website soon. Just like last year, the 2026-2027 Unit Frameworks are housed on a cover sheet and separated out unit by unit. There are very minimal edits to scope and sequencing, but a lot of cleaning up redundancy of documents, and cleaning up some dead or outdated links on the Additional Resources sections.

Grades 5 and up--you will see linked on the cover sheet an "Enduring Vocabulary" document. These are centered on the KDE standards identified as essential in each unit with definitions and clarifications for students, and to support your planning.

All grades have a link to the Vibrant Learning Considerations document, which is aligned to units of study, essential standards, and FCPS Portrait of a Graduate.
